Sandals Whitehouse Renovations Update

January 21, 2010 in Sandals Whitehouse

Sandals Whitehouse reopened on schedule on December 18th 2009. While the resort was closed, the updates focused on:

  • Spa – Totally renovated with new color scheme
  • Lobby – Refurbished entire lobby including re-upholstering and re-polishing of furniture
  • Suites & Rooms – Decor updates and renovations were done on all bedrooms and furniture, especially the Butler Suites – 16 suites have been completely redone with new furniture, new bed linens, and drapes. Suites have also been repainted in new color scheme. iPod docking stations have been added to every room.
  • New Restaurant – Neptune’s, which now serves seafood, replaces Arizona’s which served Southwestern cuisine.

and in the “Less Sexy But Still Important” category, additional upgrades included:

  • Electrical work – The main reason for closure was to do extensive repairs to the resort’s electrical operations.
  • Villages – Decorative moulding strips replaced/repaired on all villages.
  • Public Areas – Re-painted and decorated public areas, repaired floors, tiles etc.
  • Landscaping – Grounds “re-engineered”

Sandals Whitehouse was one of our favorite Sandals resorts on Jamaica before the renovations – now we’re sure it’s even better!
